REDCap
REDCap is a secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases. While REDCap can be used to collect virtually any type of data (including compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, FISMA, HIPAA, and GDPR), it is specifically geared to support online and offline data capture for research studies and operations. Other by exception provided by the Office for Research, REDCap should be used to facilitate electronic management and storage of research data for data stored outside of medical records e.g. consent database, eCRF, surveys, questionnaires etc.
REDCap user access is administered through the Office for Research. From 01 July 2020, all WH initiated projects are to use REDCap for their data capture and projects. Access to REDCap is provided to all WH staff and any honorary staff working on WH projects for free. Access to the WH REDCap requires a valid WH email account. Remote access to WH REDCap can only be accommodated through Citrix.
Request REDCap Login:
If you require access to REDCap or wish to grant access to other members of your team, please address your request via email to [email protected] with the following information for each intended new user with subject title "REDCap Login Request":
- User name
- First and Last name
- Email address (must be WH email address)
- Level of access (Full = create and delete project, Partial= data entry only)
Once your account has been created, you will receive an email from REDCap requesting you to set up your password. Please proceed as per instructions received.
Instruction booklets on how to create projects will be issued to you at the time an account has been created.
